HCA took a small, but mighty group that made their mark on High School KYA 1! 

Lexi Lyon and Kynlee Henderson served as media delegates. Their role was to report on issues, interview delegates at the conference, and write a magazine article. They did a great job!

 

Genna Calhoun, Ruthie Chaudoin, and Emma Groves sponsored a bill to create an Animal Abusers Registry. Their bill was highly ranked by their peers on Thursday then on Friday, it passed both the House and Senate chambers to become KYA law. Their bill was also named Outstanding Bluegrass Bill over all of the Bluegrass bills presented at KYA! Also, Genna Calhoun received the Outstanding Delegate award for our HCA delegation.

 

These five young people represented Heritage Christian Academy well, and we are so proud of them!
