Lady Warriors Win Back To Back Region 2 All "A" Championship

As the volleyball bounced harmlessly away, Heritage Christian Academy senior Hadlee Hayes and her teammates let out a scream of jubilation. The Lady Warriors defeated Caldwell County 25-14, 25-15 Saturday afternoon to win their second straight Region 2 All “A” Volleyball Tournament title at University Heights Academy.

The Lady Warriors defeated Caldwell County 25-14, 25-15 Saturday afternoon to win their second straight Region 2 All “A” Volleyball Tournament title at University Heights Academy.
HCA broke open a close first set and pulled away from the Lady Tigers.
In the second set, Caldwell County took a 5-4 lead before the Lady Warriors ripped off seven straight points to force a Caldwell timeout.
The Lady Tigers rallied to cut the lead to 20-15, but after an HCA timeout, the Lady Warriors flexed their muscle with five straight points to capture the set and the match.
Hayes had a big game for HCA with six kills, six assists, three aces, and four digs. Taylor Barbee also had six kills with four digs.
Bralee Fowler had four aces, two digs, and a block and Makenzie McCarty stuffed the stat box with two kills, six assists, and nine digs.
Sophie Arvin had three kills, Allie Craft had seven digs, and Emma Dalke provided a pair of key blocks.
Heritage advanced to the finals with a straight set win (25-18, 25-17) over Fort Campbell.
Barbee led the way with six kills, two aces, and five digs while Hayes added six kills, nine assists, and eight digs.
Arvin and Dalke combined for nine kills and two aces. Fowler added two blocks and seven digs.
McCarty had two kills, 12 assists, and three digs.
Caldwell County, which was looking for its first All “A” Region Volleyball Tournament title since 2021, advanced to the championship match with a 2-1 win over Crittenden County.
The Lady Warriors advance to the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic State Tournament Sept. 18-19 in Owensboro. HCA’s pool will include the Region 4 winner, Campbellsville, and Portland Christian.
